1. One dimensional experiments

The data are generated with AOAS_3_4_1233_1235_supplement.r, provided by 

Newton, M.A. (2009) Introducing the discussion paper by Székely and Rizzo. The Annals of Applied Statistics,3, 1233-1235.

The datasets are saved in xx.csv and yy.csv. 

Our MATLAB code OneDimcases.m generates the visualization results. 

2.  Two-dimensional experiments

Two dimensional cases are generated from codes TwoDimCases.m

3. Case study

The case study is performed with casestudy.m with the data file solarcell.mat.

Of the remaining MATLAB source code files, 

- Anatomy_HSIC is a function that provides the key visualization functionalities. 

- dc.m and bootstrap.m calculate distance covariance and perform bootstrap permutation test. 

- polykern.m, lpdist, doubleexpkern are the distance semi-metrics and kernel functions.
