INFORMS Senior Membership Program Recognizes Dedicated Members

Last year, the INFORMS membership team worked tirelessly to create a new membership title to recognize and appreciate committed INFORMS members. INFORMS is pleased to announce the Senior Membership program, which recognizes and rewards our most dedicated members!  

INFORMS members earn the Senior Member distinction by being the most committed members of our community – the ones who get involved, contribute and engage. The base requirement for becoming a Senior Member is simply being a Regular INFORMS member for five (or more) continuous years. 

Members who earn Senior status will be recognized and rewarded with extra visibility, opportunity and perks – at no extra cost. Senior Member dues remain the same as regular member dues. The new Senior distinction is simply a way for INFORMS to say “thank you” for being a dedicated member of our community.  

Congratulations to the Inaugural Senior Members! 

The first round of applications for senior member status was received by INFORMS at the end of February 2024, and 264 INFORMS members were chosen to be among the first to acquire the Senior Member distinction. Congratulations to the following newly minted Senior Members! 

These inaugural INFORMS Senior Members (and all future Senior Members) will receive the following perks: 

• An announcement, recognition, and visibility as a Senior Member, including a digital badge to share online, access to a directory to network with others, and your name published in OR/MS Today. 
• A letter of commendation, upon request, sent to your employer. 
• A printable certificate acknowledging your status and valuable contributions to INFORMS and the ability to purchase a personalized plaque or a special INFORMS Senior Member pin. 
• Invitation to participate in a 25% discounted year-end member referral campaign to encourage your peers to join INFORMS. 
• A coupon for 25% off any INFORMS merchandise purchased at the INFORMS Annual Meeting or Analytics Conference. 
• First-come, first-served access to reserved seating for Senior Members at select INFORMS conference events. 

How to Apply 

Applications are open on a rolling basis, and new Senior Members are selected quarterly. The applications are reviewed after each deadline, and the members chosen are announced the following month. The next deadline to apply is May 31, 2024, and that cohort of Senior Members will be announced in June.
