How often do people ask you, “What does CAP mean?”
Outside of my team members at work, no one I know is familiar with the CAP. I appreciate the fact that my leader has established a high bar of excellence for the team. It was set as a basic expectation from day one.

How familiar were you with the “Seven Domains of Analytics Process” prior to pursuing CAP?
In the context of the CAP, I was not familiar with the domains at all. However, there are similarities between the domains and other systems engineering or project management processes. In that sense, they were already familiar.

What was your most valuable resource while preparing for the exam?
The prep course by Freeman Marvin, as well as the end-of-chapter questions in the "Essentials of Business Analytics" textbook. I also valued interactions and engagement with my team and leader.

What have you loved about being a CAP?
I am most excited to not have to worry about the CAP exam anymore. I am also looking forward to meeting fellow CAPs in the community and being part of a team that has established a high bar of excellence.

What has been your most interesting PDU, class or otherwise?
My leaders had Dr. Parnell’s teach system engineering and decision sciences.

In your opinion, what will be the next “game changer” in analytics?
I think we are only scratching the surface of the potential of artificial intelligence (AI).
