Editors' Preface

The Research Note by Aguirre-Urreta and Marakas was published online on September 5, 2013. Information Systems Research received a commentary on this note co-authored by Rigdon et al. challenging some of the claims made in the Research Note. The editors shared this commentary with Aguirre-Urreta and Marakas and invited them to prepare a response. In the spirit of constructive intellectual dialogue, Information Systems Research is printing the commentary together with the response to the commentary for its readers.
