Frequently Asked Questions

Following are some questions frequently asked by our institutional administrators, librarians, customers, or subscribers. You might find answers to your questions below. If not, please contact INFORMS at [email protected].

Complete access to INFORMS online journals is available to everyone at your Institution who has access through the IP address(es) registered with INFORMS. After the trial period, an INFORMS customer service representative will contact you. To expedite this process, please go to the Subscriber Services page to download the current Institutional Rate Sheet and submit your subscription order. You can also contact [email protected] to request a proforma invoice.

Does it seem as if our home page and the current issues never change? INFORMS publishes new issues on the same schedule as the print edition. If you are aware that a new issue of the journal has been published but don't see that issue appearing online, you may be experiencing a caching problem. First try clearing your cache before contact INFORMS.

This problem has been most associated with the use of Internet Explorer 9 or older versions. The most efficient solution is to upgrade IE to the most recent version or if possible to switch to another browser. The List of Issue (Archive) page has been tested in IE 8 and 9 and does not normally exhibit these issues. If you are unable to switch (update) browsers you can try these other modifications. The website does use JavaScript, users can check to see if JavaScript is disabled, but if you are unable to update Java you may have some settings that have been put in place by your IT department -- assuming you’re at an institution. Another fix to try is to keep the same browser and remove informs.org from the compatibility view websites, or to set up the browser so it only uses compatibility mode on certain websites.

Please check the INFORMS journal shipping schedule, as not all issues are on the same publishing schedule. A journal's first issue of the year might not publish until February or March. Contact Customer Service for the current shipping schedule.

You need to go into the Personal Settings section of your 'Profile' (click on your name at the upper right) to change your information: Update Your Account Information. To update the information, change the desired fields and send the update. Following your request, you will receive an email confirmation. Modifying your email address will also change the recipient address of any e-Alerts owned by your account.

First go to the Subscriber Access page to try and retrieve your Customer number. If you are not successful you may need to contact INFORMS Customer Service send an email to [email protected]. For phone and mailing information, go to the Contact INFORMS page.

INFORMS recently launched a new CRM system which has caused some issues with access to existing Library Administrators accounts. For those Administrators with legacy accounts, please LOGIN using this link: https://pubsonline.informs.org/literatumuserslogin?redirectUri=showHome. You will need to contact a Customer Service representative to switch th eAdmin account to another existing linked account or to create a new account. Contact INFORMS Customer Service at [email protected].

Please go to the LOG IN link at the upper right of any PubsOnLine page, but you will need to know your Account Email, this is your username. After you click LOGIN, enter your Account Email (username), and click the "RESET YOUR PASSWORD" button to select a new password. If you are not successful please contact INFORMS Customer Service at [email protected].

No, you would no longer receive access to the online journal content. INFORMS subscriptions require annual renewal to maintain access to your subscribed content. Please contact INFORMS if upon renewal you intend to cancel your subscriptions to review your options.

INFORMS all-inclusive PubsOnLine Suite subscription package includes all 17 INFORMS journals at a heavily discounted price. This package essentially offers all journals, online-only or print + online, for the same price an Institution would pay for 9 individual journal subscriptions. Periodically during the year INFORMS may offer discounts on subscription upgrades or for incremental print subscriptions.
