Nobel Prize Winner Acemoglu’s Recent OPRE Publication
We are pleased to highlight this recent paper by Daron Acemoglu, Ali Makhdoumi, Azarakhsh Malekian, and Asuman Ozdaglar, titled “Testing, Voluntary Social Distancing, and the Spread of an Infection”, published in Operations Research in 2024. Daron Acemoglu (MIT), Simon Johnson (MIT), and James A. Robinson (U of Chicago) received the 2024 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences.
Introducing Data and Code Review
We are beginning a data and code review process for those papers whose contribution lies heavily on the empirical side. The first paper to go through this process, “Learning in Inverse Optimization: Incenter Cost, Augmented Suboptimality Loss, and Algorithms” by Scroccaro, Atasoy, and Esfahani, can be found here.
