Letter to the Editor—A Limiting Distribution of an Estimate of Mean Queue Length

This letter presents a limiting distribution of an estimate of mean queue length when such estimate is based on a tune series sample taken from a queuing system adequately represented by the M/M/1 model with a first-come, first-served discipline. The results obtained are of use in simulation, model validation, and queuing process control.
