Letter to the Editor—Comments on “Reliability Considerations for a Two Element Redundant System with Generalized Repair Times”

It is shown that the reliability improvement factor has an asymptotic behaviour that can be inferred directly, rather than by computational example; a shorter derivation is also presented. Dominant asymptotic terms for an N-element redundant system are derived.
