The authors would like to point out that the formula for the joint equilibrium probability distribution in their paper “Closed Queuing Systems with Exponential Servers,” Opns. Res.15 254–265 (1967), may be obtained by specializing the parameters of the more general model studied by J. R. Jackson in “ Jobshop-Like Queuing Systems,” Management Sci.10 131–142 (1963).
