Abstract
A note by Rao [“Counterexamples for the Location of Emergency Service Facilities,” Opns. Res. 22, 1259–1261 (1974)] comments on a paper by Toregas, Swain, ReVelle, and Bergman [Opns. Res. 19, 1363–1373 (1971)]. This note extends the discussion by suggesting how the difficulties identified by Rao can be overcome.
