    The Fourteenth National Meeting of the Operations Research Society of America was held in St. Louis on October 23 and 24, 1958 at the Statler-Hilton Hotel. This being the first meeting of the Society held in the Mississippi Valley, the meeting was sub-titled “The Four-Flags Meeting” in recognition of the geography and history of the area which at various times was under the flags of Spain, France, Great Britain, and the United States. There were 271 registrants, including 178 members, 85 non-members, and 8 students. The general overview of the meeting is followed by the “Report of the Secretary” and Abstracts of presentations.
