The Arizona Department of Transportation is the winner of the 1982 TIMS Award for Management Science Achievement for its use of an innovative high-impact management science system to improve highway maintenance.
The $6000 cash prize was awarded to the practitioner team of Kamal Golabi, University of Pittsburgh, Ram B. Kulkarni, Woodward-Clyde Consultants, and George B. Way, Arizona Department of Transportation.
