Schonberger (Interfaces vol. 29, no. 6, November–December 1999, pp. 127–129) referring to the Interfaces July–August 1998 article “Using product profiling to illustrate manufacturing-marketing misalignment” by Hill, Menda, and Dilts, where they described Rumack Pharmaceutical Company (disguised name) as an example of misalignment between marketing and manufacturing.
