Perspectives on MS Applications—All Around the Model
Abstract
Sometimes we in management science are our own worst enemies. We tend, at times, to over-research a problem, over-model it, over-data-gather and over-agonize about the entire analytical process. In short, sometimes we make more of a big deal of the routines of analysis than is justified by the type of result required and the management need. We impart a precision not really needed and do far more than management really wants or is justified by the level of problem being addressed.
