New Management Science Update Column by an Interfaces Editor

Management Science has announced that a new column, “Management Science Update,” will begin appearing later this year. It will be edited by John R. Hall, Jr., the co-editor of the Interfaces column “Applications Reviews.” The emphasis in the new column will be on the use of new theory in decisions by corporations, government agencies, and other groups with real money on the line—who used it, how they used it, and what they achieved by using it. The primary focus will be on past articles in Management Science, but major works elsewhere will also receive attention—theory papers of yesterday now validated by application.
