The USTA/Equitable Computerized Tennis Ranking system is the most comprehensive and highly developed international system of its kind available today.

Implemented and maintained by The Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States for the United States Tennis Association (USTA), the system takes advantage of the computer's capacity to accept data from an unlimited number of tournaments and perform numerous and complex calculations. The outcome is a ranking that is more objective, consistent, and broad-based than any other. These qualities are extremely important, since rankings directly influence the acceptance by tennis officials of a player's tournament entry and his placement in the draw.
