Note—Re: Michael A. Crane, Donald L. Iglehart, “Simulating Stable Stochastic Systems, IV: Approximation Techniques”

The paper considered here contains interesting suggestions to aid in implementing the methods the authors suggest in the earlier parts. The purpose of this note is merely to point out that the numerical tests reported in this article bear little relationship to the intent and give scant testimony on the usefulness and efficacy of their proposals.
