2024 Operations Research Reviewer Meritorious Service Awards

    Abstract

Reviewers are an integral part of the journal. Without their efforts, the journal could not operate. The journal recognizes a select number of reviewers that have gone above and beyond normal expectations with “Distinguished Service” and “Meritorious Service” awards. On behalf of OPRE, editor-in-chief Amy Ward expresses her deepest gratitude to all those who served as reviewers for the journal in 2024. The process for determining these awards in a given year is as follows:

    1. The list of names of reviewers for the journal over the past year, along with the number of papers each individual reviewed, is circulated to the area editors (with all sensitive information removed).

    2. The area editors, in consultation with their associate editors, provide feedback.

    3. Reviewers who have done either a large volume of quality reviews, or a small volume of particularly insightful reviews, are designated to receive Meritorious Service Awards.

    4. A small number of reviewers (no more than 5) may be upgraded to Distinguished Service Awards, based on extraordinary work.
