Technical Note—Approximations for a Service System with Nonindependent Interarrival Times

This paper provides simple, readily computable approximations for the limiting behavior of the waiting-time process in a queuing system having a certain scheme of nonindependent interarrival times. Its results are obtained without recourse to stringent distribution assumptions.
