Abstract
The membership of the Society on December 31, 1955 was 1383, as compared with 1204 in April of that year. Of the December 1955 membership, 103 were Fellows, 373 were Members, 827 were Associate Members, and 80 were Student Associate Members. Subsequently, at its meeting on January 9, 1956, the Council elected the following 8 new Fellows and 44 additional Members.
