Information Systems in Management Science—Teaching the Foundations for the Economic Analysis and Evaluation of Information Systems
Abstract
Business supposedly is using MIS for economic benefits, but due to a lack of theory, the justification of information systems is on shaky ground. This article demonstrates that there is a substantial body of relevant theory on information systems and describes how this material can be taught. This publication should be of particular interest to the academician who wants to teach and the practitioner who wants to learn about the state of knowledge in information systems.
