Abstract
It is the purpose of this paper to present arguments and evidence supporting the thesis that:
—Redefining business data is a valuable addition—indeed, is central—to business planning; and
—In many businesses, to do so, requires “inner-directedness” in the planning effort.
Management Technology, ISSN 0542-4917, was published as a separate journal from 1960 to 1964. In 1965 it was merged into Management Science.
