Scheduling and Fleet Routing Models for Transportation Systems

Published Online:https://doi.org/10.1287/trsc.5.3.232

Models of fleet routing and scheduling problems for transportation systems are formulated as integer linear programs with 0-1 variables. Detailed formulations and a solution technique of the Land-and-Doig type are presented and demonstrated on examples. The conclusion is that large scale models can be solved using this technique.
