Resolution of Thanks and Congratulations to Kelly Kophazi

Kelly Kophazi earned a BA in business administration from Bridgewater College in 1983 and was hired by then-editor-in-chief Terry Harrison through Penn State as an editorial assistant for Interfaces in 1999. She became an official INFORMS employee in 2007, when she was hired as managing editor of the journal on Jeff Camm’s watch. She served in this role (adding other journals to her responsibilities) until her retirement in March 2024.

On this occasion, INFORMS offers the following resolution of thanks and congratulations.

Where Kelly Kophazi has served with diligence, dedication, and distinction as managing editor for multiple INFORMS journals, forging significant relationships with INFORMS’ decision analysis, applied analytics, and computing communities, among others, and

Where throughout her long and distinguished tenure with INFORMS, Kelly Kophazi has eagerly and effectively worked with and supported INFORMS’ authors, editors, members, volunteers, fellows, and leaders to advance the science and technology of decision making, and

Where, over the course of Kelly Kophazi’s service to INFORMS, she has earned the respect, admiration, and friendship of the countless authors, editors, members, and volunteers she has so ably served; therefore, it is resolved that the INFORMS Board of Directors expresses its sincere gratitude to Kelly Kophazi for her tireless service to the INFORMS community and offers its heartfelt congratulations to her on her retirement.
