2023 MSOM Society Best AE Award: Management Science
The journal of Management Science nominated Professor Brad Staats to receive the 2023 MSOM Society Best AE Award. Brad’s nomination was based on his outstanding performance on the following measures:
Constructive, nourishing reports. Brad handles papers in a careful way, balancing the needs of rigor, novelty, and impact. His reviews are constructive, yet rigorous.
The volume of papers processed by the associate editor (AE): handled 53 rounds of review in the last three years.
Speed of processing the reviews: an average turnaround time of 47 days in the past three years.
Leadership and creativity. Brad manages the process well to ensure reviews are fair and steps in where the reviews are either unclear or raise concerns that are unreasonable.
Following the nomination, MSOM awarded Professor Brad Staats the MSOM Society Best AE Award: Management Science.
The journal also selected Professors Dorothee Honhon, Rob Huckman, and Nicos Savva for honorable mention.
