A Discrete Adjective Scale to Assist Objective Achievement Assessment

    Published Online:https://doi.org/10.1287/inte.8.4.38

This paper reports an adjective scale in use at Waybelow Normal College to assist in the achievement assessment of tenure candidates at our institution. The scale was developed in response to a felt need to compare the different records of different candidates whose different achievements had been differently assessed by different faculty committees composed of different individuals with different backgrounds and different perceptions of different things at different times. This humorous essay was signed by pen name Horace P. Tenure, Ph.D., C.A.A. (Certified Adjective Advisor) from Waybelow Normal College.
