Practice of Mangement Science—A Test of an Interactive Community Development Impacts Model in a Rural Environment

This article describes how computer technology assisted the residents of a rural, poor borough in the mountains of southwestern Pennsylvania in their attempt to revitalize their community. The computer model and how it was used are presented. The results of this test show that computer technology of this type can help in the participatory process of community goal-setting.
