Inequalities for Bin Packing—II

Consider the minimum number B_n of unit size bins needed to pack items X₁, …, X_n that are independently distributed according to a given distribution μ concentrated on [0, 1]. We establish a sharp inequality for the deviation of B_n from its expectation.
