The Seminar on Operations Practice Problems is a new initiative of the Practice Platform department of the M&SOM Journal. It has the goal to bring the voice of practitioners closer to the Operations community. One way we will accomplish this is through a seminar organized and hosted by the OM Practice Platform of the journal. The goal of this initiative is to inspire and facilitate new and exciting operations management research inspired by operations practice and which at the same time will be relevant and impactful to operations practice. This effort aims to feature invited practitioner presenters who will bring closer to our community (i) deep contextual knowledge of an industry practice area within the journal's purview; and (ii) some perspective on important and unmet operations related challenges that merit either immediate attention currently lacking or which will require attention in the near future. As a result, the Practice Platform Seminar will bring practitioners who will discuss their challenges to the community and who are eager to influence future research in our field.
Stay tuned for our upcoming webinar series—designed to deliver practical insights and real-world strategies for professionals in practice-based industries. We're finalizing the schedule and topics now, so be sure to check back soon for details on how to participate.
