Stochastic Systems Special Issue: DaiFest 2026

Submission Deadline: October 15, 2026

We are excited to announce a special issue of Stochastic Systems in connection with “DaiFest 2026,” a 1.5-day conference celebrating Jim Dai’s many accomplishments and contributions to our field and academic community. The conference is hosted by the School of Operations Research and Information Engineering at :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0} in Ithaca, NY, USA on July 16–17, 2026.

For this special issue, we solicit original research papers in areas reflecting Jim Dai’s broad scientific influence, including stochastic networks, applied probability, queueing theory, diffusion approximations, reinforcement learning for stochastic systems, and related topics.

Authors who present at DaiFest 2026 are encouraged to submit revised and extended versions of their work; submissions are also welcome from authors who did not present at the conference. We ask that authors who did present include in the cover letter accompanying their submission the title of the corresponding presentation.

Submission Guidelines

Submissions will be peer-reviewed according to the usual standards of the journal. Please submit your manuscript online via Editorial Manager:
