Guidelines for Content, Sources, and Submission
INFORMS Analytics Collections (IAC) welcomes multimedia collections of research and practice on operations research topics of broad practical interest. Following are guidelines for content, sources, and submission.
Content
The content expectations for an IAC collection are as follows, but flexible:
- Approximately 25 items of content, including research components (about 10), practice components (about 10), and teaching components (about 5). Your content should justify the importance of the topic. Linkages should be demonstrated between items. [These expectations are intended as guidelines, not necessarily as strict requirements.]
- Use as many types of media (e.g., podcasts, interviews, software, public lectures, videos, practice articles, academic articles, ...) as possible (for example, four), and as many different sources of each type as possible (for example, four journals). Non-INFORMS sources that are copyrighted should be briefly described and linked, but not included.
- More than half of the content should originate from the last three years.
- Prepare a detailed video and text overview of your collection, ideally with a graphic that explains how all your content fits together.
- Participate in a “Resoundingly Human” podcast organized and facilitated by INFORMS, and included in your volume.
- When compiling content, please consider diversity issues.
Sources
- Subject to any copyright concerns, all sources are eligible.
- A primary source of content should be INFORMS journals, including literature review articles.
- Articles from OR/MS Today and Analytics.
- INFORMS channel on Youtube, and INFORMS Video Learning Center.
- Contact one or more practice leaders on the topic to solicit contributions.
- Contact Roundtable members to solicit contributions.
- Work with leaders of Societies and Sections related to your collection.

[Provide as many details as possible about the different components and as much justification as possible for your proposed collection.]
- Receive conditional approval for your volume and suggestions for improvement.
[Follow the suggestions to develop your material and submit it.]
- Final approval and online publication by INFORMS.
[The publication of your collection will be announced by INFORMS through e-News and other outlets.]
